Major Roadworks Outside The KMT

Starting on February 4th and lasting for a few months, there will be major road-works right outside the KMT.   We can expect temporary traffic lights, occasional one-way traffic delays in Clements Road, and times when Oakfield Road and Kenneth More Road may be closed to traffic.  When the works are completed, there will be a  new road access to the KMT, the bus stops will be moved, and a  new traffic control system in place.

The Bad News:

During this period there are likely to be considerable delays in approaching the theatre (and the Town Centre) and you should allow extra time for your journey (whether by car or by bus)

The Good News:

Throughout the road-works period the Council will continue to allow KMT patrons use of the Town Hall car-park on weekday evenings from one hour before each performance.  (This will NOT apply on the evenings of  Full Council Meetings  -  Thursday 17th July,  Thursday 18th Sept and Thursday 20th November -  and may be withdrawn at short notice if some urgent Council need should arise).  Theatregoers are advised to approach  the Town Hall car-park from the Winston Way access road  rather than the High Road during the period of road-works—there are likely to be fewer delays on this side of the Town Centre.
