THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO JOHN

John Griffiths performs his towering one-man presentation of the Gospel According to John. Using the King James’ version, this is not a reading, but a full blown dramatic piece.  This production has been staged in the Cathedrals at Chichester, Salisbury, Lichfield and Gloucester and acclaimed throughout.  It is an unique theatrical experience.

QUARTET

This is a new play – recently in the West End - from the pen of Ronald Harwood.,  Cecily, Reggie and Wilfred are in a home for retired opera singers.  Each year there is a concert to celebrate Verdi’s birthday.  Jean – Reggie’s former wife – arrives and begins to disrupt their party, still acting the prima donna and refusing to join the celebrations.  But the show must go on!  An evening with both laughter and serious moments – and guaranteed to entertain..

"JEFFREY BERNARD IS UNWELL"

is the euphemism used by the Spectator magazine whenever Bernard (gambler, alcoholic and journalist) is incapable of writing his column ‘Low Life’ about Soho. Bernard has passed out in the toilets of his favourite pub. He awakes to find himself alone in the early hours of the morning and becomes resigned to spending the night with a bottle of vodka and his memories. Four actors help bring his witty anecdotes and hilarious reminiscences to life.
