Stephen Febble is growing old disgracefully! And why shouldn’t he, given what he’s got to contend with? His immediate family is no help; a long suffering wife, an unhappy daughter, a tedious son-in-law and a precocious grandchild, not to mention the incontinent dog. All he wants is to be left alone but the weekend from hell looms, complete with annoying neighbours and a rather odd chiropodist. Is it any wonder that Stephen reaches for the whisky and the sarcasm in equal measure? The Weekend is a hilarious look at family life from the pen of the multi-talented Michael Palin, acclaimed actor, co-creator of Monty Python, and presenter of numerous TV travel shows. This is a riot of a comedy to banish the winter blues! (Please note: there will be some cigarette smoking as permitted under the provisions of special exemption for artistic authenticity).
