BOLT FROM THE BLUE

Edward Jones was an ordinary man, doing ordinary things  and coming up to his fortieth birthday. Then it happened.  Like a bolt from the blue!  It was incredible. It defied belief. It defied logic. It defied the fundamental laws of science and nature. But it happened! With his latest comedy, adapted from his novel of the same name, David Tristram brings his trademark hilarity to every page in this brilliantly constructed and extremely funny play.

GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN

They were the great shows of the past – Floradora, Chu Chin Chow, Student Prince, Desert Song – and great composers like Rudolf Friml, Leslie Stuart, Robert Stolz, Franz Lehar and Ivor Novello. The songs are superb, but the shows are never done today - the book and dialogue are so old fashioned they’d be laughed off today’s stage.  So, let’s just sing the songs!  Re-create those great ballads, the rousing choruses of Red Shadows, Riffs, Beggars, Kings and Pretty Maidens!  A night of nostalgia! A night of “Songs from the Shows” -  from the days when musicals were musical!  Join us for a glorious night of great shows from the past.
